Power Slice a Powerhouse Event

On June 21, 2010, the Leo P. Roselli Power Slice Tournament held its second annual golf outing at the Burlington County Country Club in Westampton, NJ. The fundraiser provides for scholarships to college bound students in need. With nearly a hundred players and several hundred participants, volunteers, sponsors, friends and family, it could not have been a greater success.

Also on hand were Leo's wife Laura Roselli and their two sons Matthew and Leo.

The committee put together a heck of an outing. A delicious lunch with coffee, doughnuts, sandwiches and hors d'oeurves, was served during registration. After that, upwards of fifty golf carts, each stocked with the necessary accoutrements (namely, beer and cigars!) started their journey through 18 holes. Following a cocktail hour with even more hors d'oeurves was a fine dinner capped off by an awards ceremony.

Masters of ceremony Laura Roselli, Reds Grayson and Ken Dunek led the awards show. Dozens of prizes were awarded, including: golf shirts, massages, Phillies tickets, pro shop gift certificates, gift baskets, a Shane Victorino signed bat, a Danny Briere signed puck, a Dick Vermeil signed football and of course, cash.

Leo Roselli, who lost his battle with cancer last July, was an honored member of the community. His charity knew no end, his work ethic knew no bounds, his fight knew no quit. He was a dedicated father, a loving husband, and an indispensable friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Please see About the Tourney for more information on the tournament rules, the committee, sponsors, and how you can contribute.

  1. I'd like to say that I find Chris Roselli to be extremely attractive. He is one handsome man, and what a great golfer and snazzy dresser also.

  2. And you'd have to be anonymous to admit that.
